The following products are compatible with all standard EM Systems. S A Secure can provide any label for any application. Please contact us to discuss Source Tagging as well as custom label design.
Strips for Books
Tail-Tag is a double-sided adhesive strips with tails. The tag is used for paperback books, journals, magazines and some hardcover books. Tyvek™ backing helps to conceal the security strip. Longer tails provide easier, better handling and tails don't stretch
Our most popular library book tag product is the 165mm tail-tag. This ultra slim, double sided adhesive strip is designed to be inserted between the pages of books and journals
Extra-long release-fabric ‘tails’ facilitate the easier insertion of the adhesive strip deep into the gutter, making visual detection by thieves virtually impossible.
Our tags comply entirely with long established international defacto standards for EM library security tags, and are entirely compatible with all non-TagitTM systems and tags.
The fundamental benefit of EM tail-tags is that they can be switched on and off; i.e. activated and deactivated on an indefinite basis. This makes them ideal for lending library operations where legitimately loaned books have their security tags de-activated at the service counter prior to leaving the library.
If you wish to protect ‘reference only’ media, we supply a range of non-deactivatable security tags, ideal for these applications. So, whether you have a lending or ‘reference only’ library, whether you want to protect books, CDs, DVDs or magnetic media etc., TagitTM has a quality solution to meet your needs
CDs and DVDs
CD/DVD, MM/EM Security Label, composed of a one-part circular label that is applied directly to the CD or DVD. For maximum label detection, two MM security strips are adhered at right angles to the underside of the self-adhesive. This allows for better detection than the typical parallel strip placement. The label can be applied to any CD or DVD with single sided data recording.
Videos & Audio Cassettes
MM strips for Videos and Audiocassettes, as well as a wide variety of security strips to protect VHS and cassette tapes. Finishes include solid black that can be applied to the outside of the case or inside the video flap. A pre-printed "Please Rewind the Tape" message can be printed to disguise the security strip. Strips are applied in a single-step operation and fit above "Title Label" without obscuring the title
Reference only
We can also supply a wide selection of security strips that do not desensitize. These strips are used to secure reference materials that are not to leave the library.
Source Tagging
In the supply chain, source tagging, (the process of applying EAS labels to products or their packaging during the manufacturing process), can play an important part. Many high street chains insist on receiving their manufacturer’s or supplier’s products, pre-tagged and ready to be placed directly onto the shop floor for immediate sale or loan if a library, with the added benefit of faster replacement of dwindling stock.
For the retailer, by placing the onus on the supplier to pre-label their products at source there is the possibility of a double saving:-
Cheaper manual labour costs particularly when using overseas suppliers
Incorporating the cost of tags/tagging within the product/packaging specifica

Em Security Privacy And Business...
The IRS has mandated six (6) new security, privacy, and business standards to better serve taxpayers and protect their information collected, processed and stored by Online Providers of individual income tax returns.
Individual income tax returns generally refer to the 1040 family of returns. Refer to the IRS Publication 3112, IRS e-file Application and Participation, for definition of Online Provider.
These new standards are intended to supplement the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and the implementing rules and regulations promulgated by the Federal Trade Commission.
The security and privacy objectives of these standards are: setting minimum encryption standards for transmission of taxpayer information over the internet and authentication of Web site owner/operator’s identity beyond that offered by standard version SSL certificates; periodic external vulnerability scan of the taxpayer data environment; protection against bulk-filing of fraudulent income tax returns; and the ability to timely isolate and investigate potentially compromised taxpayer information.
These standards also address certain business and customer service objectives such as instant access to Web site owner/operator’s contact information, and Online Provider’s written commitment to maintaining physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards of taxpayer information that comply with applicable law and federal standards.
Compliance with these standards is mandatory effective January 1, 2010. However, there will be a one-year enforcement grace period. The grace period expires December 31, 2010.
Online Providers of individual income tax returns shall contract with an independent third-party vendor to run weekly external network vulnerability scans of all their “system components” in accordance with the applicable requirements of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCIDSS).
All scans shall be performed by a scanning vendor certified by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council and listed on their current list of Approved Scanning Vendors (ASV). In addition, Online Providers of individual income tax returns whose systems are hosted shall ensure that their host complies with all applicable requirements of the PCIDSS.
For the purposes of this standard, “system components” is defined as any network component, server, or application that is included in or connected to the taxpayer data environment. The taxpayer data environment is that part of the network that possesses taxpayer data or sensitive authentication data.
If scan reports reveal vulnerabilities, action shall be taken to address the vulnerabilities in line with the scan report’s recommendations. Retain weekly scan reports for at least one year. The ASV and the host (if present) shall be located in the United States.
This standard applies to Online Providers of individual income tax returns that own or operate a Web site through which taxpayer information is collected, transmitted, processed or stored. These Online Providers shall have written information privacy and safeguard policies consistent with the applicable government and industry guidelines. In addition, these Online Providers shall acquire, maintain, and display a license/accreditation seal from a consumer protection and privacy seal vendor acceptable to the IRS. TRUSTe and BBBOnLine are vendors acceptable to the IRS for the purposes of this requirement.
This standard applies to Online Providers of individual income tax returns that own or operate a Web site through which taxpayer information is collected, transmitted, processed or stored. These Online Providers shall implement effective technologies to protect their Web site against bulk filing of fraudulent income tax returns. Taxpayer information shall not be collected, transmitted, processed or stored otherwise.
This standard applies to Online Providers of individual income tax returns that own or operate a Web site through which taxpayer information is collected, transmitted, processed or stored. These Online Providers shall have their Web site’s domain name registered with a domain name registrar that is located in the United States and accredited by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). The domain name shall be locked and not be private.
Online Providers of individual income tax returns shall report security incidents to the IRS as soon as possible but not later than the next business day after confirmation of the incident. For the purposes of this standard, an event that can result in an unauthorized disclosure, misuse, modification, or destruction of taxpayer information shall be considered a reportable security incident.
In addition, if the Online Provider’s Web site is the proximate cause of the incident, the Online Provider shall cease collecting taxpayer information via their Web site immediately upon detection of the incident and until the underlying causes of the incident are successfully resolved.
In July 2007, the IRS issued an e-file rule requiring all Authorized IRS e-file Providers to submit to the IRS the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) of Web sites they own or operate through which taxpayer information is collected, transmitted, processed or stored. This requirement remains mandatory for all Authorized IRS e-file Providers.

Site specific instruction covering rules, regulations, policies, and practices unique to each clients location is provided and encompasses between twenty and thirty hours of instruction.
Annual In-Service Training

Once again, we do not believe in leaving anything to chance. Record of Training
A copy of each security officer's record of training will be maintained by the security manager at our main office. We will make this record available to each client for inspection upon request.

Em Security Management
EM Security's quality service is backed by a professional security management team.
Every staff person is certified by the State of Georgia, has passed a physiological test, FBI and GBI background checks and random drug testing. We take the entire realm of security very seriously and refuse to accept unskilled and unprofessional personnel.
EM Security has an Emergency Response Team in place that can be dispatched to assist in security support requirements until a given emergency situation is brought under control.
For example, if a situation dictates that additional security manpower is needed, the security officer or Field Operations Manager will make one call to our 24 hour manned dispatched station and they will activate the E.R.T.
With our system, all managers are directly involved with each and every account.
From start-up through daily operations, our management staff is involved. Based on the client's requirements, we will conduct a security survey that will allow us to better understand and meet the client's needs. At this time, recommendations are made and details are sharpened.
Once the start-up has been completed, each security officer is inspected on a daily basis by our roving supervisor.
While inspecting the officers, the roving supervisor will also inspect the site to further insure its security. Even further, a person from our management staff will inspect the site and the security officer on an unannounced basis to insure compliance and conformity with what is expected by our clients. These are significant additional benefits provided by the EM Security program.
All management and supervisory personnel are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
We are all aware of the duties of each officer at every site we manage. No new security officer is ever assigned to a post unless a supervisor familiar with the post is there. That supervisor is committed to stay with the new officer as long as it takes for the job to be done properly.
EM Security treats client concerns immediately and with the highest degree of attention.
All reported incidents or discrepancies are acted upon immediately until a satisfactory result is accomplished. We will then design measures to assure these situations do not occur again.
